The Siberian "Amur" Tiger
This website has been created by a student at Correia Middle School, for a Life Science project. The project directs students to make an informational website on an endangered species. My name is, Daniel, and I am in 7th grade. I chose the Siberian Tiger as my endangered species because my Dad has recently taken at trip to Siberia, Russia. With the word Siberia fresh in my mind and my favorite animal being a tiger I randomly made up the species, the Siberian Tiger. With actual research I have discovered it is an actual creature and is really in danger of extinction. It is also the worlds largest cat and one of six Tiger subspecies. In the wild, there are less than 500 Amur Tigers alive, because of loss of habitat and poaching. Hunters want these tigers for their unique fur coats and spiritual and medicinal meaning across Eastern Asia.
